Hon. Julius Debrah Delivers Keynote Address at GAFCSC 50th Anniversary Launch

Hon. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff at the Presidency, delivered the keynote address at the launch of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) at Hamidu Hall in Teshie.

Speaking under the theme, "Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence in Professional Military Education," Hon. Debrah commended GAFCSC for its outstanding contribution to leadership development and its successful integration of military training with academic excellence for both local and international officers.

In a message to mark the occasion, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, reaffirmed the Government's commitment to supporting GAFCSC in maintaining its status as a centre of excellence and addressing emerging security challenges within the sub-region.

Hon. Debrah also participated in a symbolic tree planting exercise and cut sod for the anniversary project, officially launching the Golden Jubilee celebrations. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister for Defence, Hon. Ernest Brogya Genfi, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Emmanuel Kartey, past Commandants of GAFCSC, senior military officers, academic cohorts, and other distinguished guests.

Activities lined up for the anniversary celebrations include a public lecture, health walk, fun games, graduation dinner, and a thanksgiving service.
